Room to move.
A wide toe box gives your toes space to spread. Aim for a secure heel and midfoot, with room in front of your longest toe.
01 / MEASURE
Start with your feet.
Measure while standing, wearing the socks you plan to wear with your FRE3.0.
Set up against a wall.
Place paper on a hard, level floor. Stand with your heel lightly against the wall and your weight on both feet.
Mark your longest toe.
Place a straight edge in front of your longest toe and mark its position on the paper. Measure straight from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
Measure both feet.
Repeat on the other foot. Record both measurements and use the longer foot when checking your fit.
Foot length + room to move.
Our centimetre measurements are footbed lengths — not outer shoe lengths or recommended foot lengths.
As a general starting point, look for a footbed approximately 1 cm (10 mm) longer than your longer foot. Do not match your foot length to the footbed length exactly.
Length is a starting point, not a fit guarantee. Toe shape, foot width, socks and the fit of the upper also affect how much room you feel.
US 9 provides 1 cm of extra footbed length in this example. Confirm toe room and heel hold when trying the shoes on.
02 / SIZE CHART
Compare the footbed lengths.

03 / THE FIT CHECK
Space at the front.
Secure where it matters.
When your shoes arrive, try both on indoors on a clean surface. Fasten them comfortably, then stand and walk a few steps.
Toes have room.
Your toes should lie naturally and be able to spread, without pressing into the front or sides of the shoe.
Heel stays secure.
Your heel should feel held, without excessive lifting or your foot sliding forward as you walk.
Midfoot feels comfortable.
Adjust the fastening for a secure fit without squeezing. A roomy forefoot should not mean an unstable fit.
A few fitting questions.
Should I size down because the toe box feels roomy?
The extra toe space is intentional. Do not size down simply to make the forefoot feel tight. Check the toe room, heel hold and midfoot fit together.
What if I am between sizes?
Compare the neighbouring footbed lengths after allowing room for your toes. Do not choose a shorter size that crowds your toes, or a longer size that leaves your heel slipping. Contact us with both foot lengths, your usual size and your preferred socks so we can help you choose.
Does a wide toe box mean the whole shoe is a wide fit?
A wide toe box describes the extra room around the toes, not a standard width grade for the entire shoe. Check the fit through your heel and midfoot too. For an unusually wide, narrow or high-volume foot, contact us before ordering.
Can I use my usual size from another brand?
Treat your usual size as a starting point, not a guarantee. This chart uses US men’s sizes. Refer to the footbed lengths, allow room for your toes and check the fit rather than assuming another brand’s sizing will match.
